Each board is made of quality wood that is hard pressed with a layer of handcrafted mosaic artwork. The mosaic layer itself is made of many different types and colours of wood (e.g. walnut, lemonwood, rosewood) that are brought together to produce the distinct mosaic design. The mosaic artwork is on the outside, providing a surface to play chess and checkers, as well as on the inside for a surface to play backgammon.
